2K Teacher - Gloria Poche

Gloria comes to the center from Bay Assembly of God.  She worked as a teacher in 2K, in 4K; and before the birth of her last son, she worked as the center director.  She has extensive experience with the Abeka Curriculum, having attended the seminar at Pensacola Christian College, and having trained other teachers to utilize these skills in the classroom, regardless of what curriculum the center chose to use.  She lives in West Mobile near the Mississippi line and was delighted to find a center nearer to home and to her sons' schools.  Gloria has expressed that she feels the Lord is in her decision to accept the position with our school and she is excited about working with our 2K class.

Gloria and her husband Andy attend Bay Assembly of God.  They have three sons at home, ages 6, 9, and 12.

3K Teacher - Betty Smith

Betty comes to our center from Satsuma Christian Academy.  She has recently moved to our area from Chunchula.  Like our other staff, she expresses a firm belief that the Lord has worked out her circumstances and brought her here.  She loves working with 3K students and brings with her many years of experience (and oodles of classroom materials).

4K Teacher - "Navie" Eason

Miss Navie comes to us from South Florida Community College in Avon Park, FL, where she worked in the Early Childhood Education Department.  She acted as a teacher trainer and a consultant to start up programs, helping preschools design and optimize space, create effective lesson plans and meet requirements for state licensure or national accreditation.

She has two daughters.

Director - Shelba Harden Rowe

Shelba has been a member of Crossroads Baptist Church for 6 years and was invited by the pastor and Finance Advisory Board to undertake the planning and implementation for the center in late 2006.  She graduated from University of Mobile in 2003 with a degree in Business Management.  Her husband of 6 years, John, was a key contributor to center design and setup.  Her son, Ashton, age 4, will attend the center beginning in January.
